Come on by for a fast, FUN and affordable shoot in your costume! All ages welcome!

WHEN: Sunday, October 31st
WHERE: Washington Park, Fayet St. entrance by the Carillon {big bell tower}
WHAT TIME: from 11am until 2pm.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: Must be in costume - NEW THIS YEAR -Specially priced pre-pay packages with time slots available.
In the event of bad weather, we will shoot at an indoor location located at 448 South Grand West, Springfield, IL - Parking in rear of the house. Next door to Big Brother /Big Sister and across the street from Vancil Memorial. Big wooden porch on the front of the house – look for my sign out front!

Session times will be in 15 minute increments.
11am, 11:15am, 11:30am..etc.. *Please be on time*. No refunds will be given for missing your time slot or for no-shows. After you have confirmed a time slot, please select a package using the PayPal drop-down menu to the right on this page. If you have more than one child and want individual images, you will need to buy a package for each child.
You may add on specially priced single prints using the next drop-down menu.
INDIVIDUAL PRINTS MAY ONLY BE BOUGHT AFTER A PACKAGE HAS BEEN PAID FOR.

Ok, so to be fair, these were all shot in about 10 minutes a few evenings ago when the kids and I just stepped out front and they were being silly. Abby and Ethan had been turning our downstairs into a haunted house.. {again} and that is why they have the hats - and the cat.. which is my most favorite halloween decoration..

As many of you may know, I have been busy working on a natural light studio space for Angela Wright Photography! For those of you that did not know, I have started booking session appointments in the studio during the day Monday through Saturday.
Of course I still have all of my outdoor sessions as usual in the late afternoon and evening ~ so it works perfectly!
I believe it is very important in our community to support our local businesses!
My studio space is located within a building that also houses " Mail Box and Ship". They are a newer business in the Springfield IL area that opened in November of 2009.
We are located at 3217 Lake Plaza Drive, Springfield, IL, 62703- Right off of Stevenson Dr. between Security Bank and Bank of Springfield.
They offer UPS, FedEx, USPS and DHL shipping options for domestic and international. They have a wide selection of boxes, packing materials, and shipping supplies. They also accept all UPS, FedEx and USPS Pre-paid Drop Offs!
The owners are very friendly and helpful in finding you the best shipping rate that they can for your item! I have had a wonderful time getting to know my new "neighbors" and couldn't be happier to share this building with them :)

* As with most of the smaller, family run businesses out there, there is never a huge budget for advertising. Having said that, I would like to do my little part in promoting Mail Box & Ship for all of the wonderful services they offer!Front door parking along with being a smaller size store makes it super easy to zip in and out and be on your way!

So...the Month of January is a great time to reflect on the past year of business. Find what worked great, tweak what needs changed and keep on growing! Each year everything keeps getting better and I owe it all to my wonderful clients!

Ok, I was never a huge fan of the NKOTB but my very best friend in the whole world is. So, when she asked if I'd go for for free....I thought how great to stay over night w/o kids and sleep in...But, I have to say, it was in part the company we had ~ it ended up being a pretty fun concert. Plus, I got to go to Indy, eat at some great local places, slept in TWICE! and we had Chick Filet - which is worth the drive in it self!

If you have emailed or called me in the past few days, please bear with me as I have been really sick. I'm not sure if its the flu or strep but I will know today. Anyway, I just have not been in the office - I've been in bed or laying on the couch when I could get away with it - IE: when Ethan wasn't jumping on my head.
It is hard to be really sick and have a 3yo at home full of energy!

Also, Southern View village wide sales today & tomorrow! hope to see you out and about! I promise I am using hand sanitizer like crazy!

If you are, The month of May is just about booked. I have a handful of dates at the end of the month and June is starting to fill in also. Because I am a total light snob (its ALL about the light!), I only book one session each evening and that way, I am also not rushing you so I can get on to the next client! There are exceptions depending on the type of shoot but because of this, I am filling up quickly. {I am also able to schedule morning sessions.}

If you are expecting and would like a maternity or newborn session please call sooner than later. I try my best to work in these types of sessions but because I also have a family with my own little ones I need a heads up on due dates or scheduled inductions.

Thank you all for keeping me so busy! :)

I am working on more newborn sessions - can't wait to share! For now, I will leave you with another tulip image - its from this year!

Who & Where: Angela Wright Photography will be at Farm & Home on Dirksen Parkway in Springfield, IL.

When: This Saturday, April 4th 2009 from 10am until 1pm.

What: Perfect for spring time or Easter portraits! Dress casual or in your Easter best! I will be set up to shoot with live baby chicks - your children may hold them...or if you think that the temptation to squeeze is too great, the chicks can sit safely in a basket..lol!

The cost: $15.00 gets your child's portrait taken and one 5x7 print.
There will also be greatly discounted packages and individual prints that you can add on. As an added bonus, I will have a gallery of all images shot for your friends and family to view and order from as well.

*Packages and prints will be mailed - unless something is arranged with Farm & Home for pick up. I will get those details worked out!
